Having ridden “English style” since the age of 15, I became interested in Western Riding in 1992 when I saw Bob Mayhew giving a Western Riding demonstration at Wembley. I started having Western Riding lessons under the guidance of Bob Mayhew that same year and became thoroughly “hooked,” being amazed by the suppleness and agility of the Western trained horse.

In 1994 I purchased my first Quarter Horse, Zippos Lady Rose whom I showed successfully over the following years.

1998 saw me purchase my second Quarter Horse, SR Poco Mount, who I competed with for 3 years. 1999 saw me achieve a lifetime ambition to compete overseas at Le Touquet, France, where I won both Amateur All-Arounds. It was after this show that I decided to turn professional and hopefully encourage people to learn and enjoy the sport of Western Riding as I do.

In December 2003, we moved to Hook Norton and set up The WW and for the past few years I have concentrated on teaching clients and also breeding and raising quality Quarter Horses.
